(See Fig 1). - On covers where the A-Side is greater than 100” and less 132” (11’) a Tri-Fold Cover (See Fig 2) must be ordered.

2. RADIUS REQUIREMENTS
The radius of a cover is best determined by using a framing square and measuring the distance from the corner of the framing square to the point of its contact on the cabinet (See Fig 4).
- VacuSeal & SpaEase 200
- Both will work in a radius from 0” to 16”
- A radius over 12” and up to 16” requires an Optional Extension Bracket (see Fig 5)
3. DROP IN CLEARANCE
This includes any spa installed in the ground or into a deck.
- VacuSeal & SpaEase 200 Lifters
- ConvertALift w/VacuSeal or SpaEase 200
Requires a minimum clearance of 14” down from the top of the cabinet for the V-Bar of the ConvertALift System
(See Fig 7).
Requires a minimum clearance of 4” down from the top of the cabinet for the Mounting Bracket (See Fig 6).
4. REAR CLEARANCE
- VacuSeal System
- SpaEase 200 Lifter
Requires a clearance of 9” for the cover to open (See Fig 8)
Requires a clearance of 7” for the cover to open (See Fig 8)
5. SIDE CLEARANCE
- VacuSeal & SpaEase 200 without ConvertALift
- VacuSeal & SpaEase 200 with ConvertALift
Side Clearance is 3.5” (without the handle)
Side Clearance is 5” (without the handle)
6. HEIGHT CLEARANCE REQUIRED ABOVE SPA COPING
- On a VacuSeal Cover divide the length of the cover on the A-Side (folded side) by 2, and then subtract 2”.
EXAMPLE: If the hot tub cover is 90” inches long; Divide by 2 = 45” subtract 2” = 43”. This is an approximate number. - The maximum clearance required on a Traditional Cover is half the length of the A-Side of the cover.
7. RAISED COPING IMPEDIMENTS
The coping of a spa is generally referred to as the top of spa shell. Some spas have unique elevated areas either by design for waterfalls, speakers, headrests, etc. VacuSeal covers for these spas need to be approved in advance and custom made (See Fig 9).
8. CABINET DESIGN
Some spas are built with curved cabinets which can prohibit the Mounting Bracket of the VacuSeal or SpaEase 200 lifters to be installed. The Mounting Bracket requires a flat level surface along the top of the cabinet of 4” High and 24” long. It is imperative that both Mounting Brackets sit parallel to each other (See Fig 10).
9. CABINET MATERIAL
Most any hard sided cabinet will allow the installation of VacuSeal or the SpaEase Mounting Bracket without any modifications. Soft sided cabinets may require either internal or external supports to properly secure the installation of the Mounting Brackets so that no damage is done by the pressure during the operation of either system.
